| In like one of the hottest weekends in So Cal in like ridiculous 90 degree weather at like 7am in the morning I ran/power walked one of the most difficult hilly courses. It was one of the most difficult things I have ever done but with some support from fellow runners I ended up finishing which was one of the best feelings in the world to see that Finish Line!
Now onto the next big step - yes getting married in 10 days! Will post pics!

| May 17th - Palos Verdes 1/2 Marathon
Finally its coming together. Yes not the full marathon but I am working on my knees.
As for the full, I am a lottery candidate for the Nike's Women's Marathon in San Fran where firefighters hand out Tiffany's necklaces at the end  . Hopefully I will make that and be running in October!

| I am already having spam musubi and pog withdrawl. I miss Hawaii. Thank god L is living there for a while as Hai and I plan on coming back a lot!

| So I took a huge step in my life - I signed up to start marathon
training tomorrow. Yes it is true - all my life I have always
wanted to run a marathon. Just knowing the body can run 26.2
miles is amazing and for me, truly mind blowing.
Yes it is true - I could barely run a 1/4 of a mile without stopping
but you know with at least 8 months of training, I think I can do
it. Plus I can run a whole mile now! All it takes is
patience and dedication. Wish me luck in this endeavor.

| Yep - its true - we are now engaged and he is moving here next Thursday
- after 3 years together we are finally moving to the next point in our
lives!!!! This is from his perspective!
Question Popped .. and SHE said .......
Some of you guys have known about this for a l'il bit, and so here's how it went down
I
got her wonderful friend,Rebecca to help me out set this up (Thank you
for everything, Rebecca!) In any case, the plan was they (Joe and her
friends) were going out to one of our favorite restaurants in LA to
celebrate Rebecca's milestone. So they're suppose to go to Vibrato, and
I would already be there to surprise her.
So the day of, I wake
up at about 3:30am to catch my 6 o'clock flight out to LA. She's been
out and about in LA going out with her friends, and she called me when
she got home around 5am TX time so around 3am LA time. I, of course,
was already at the airport so I couldn't as well pick up the phone. She
called me again later that morning when she woke and I was still in
flight so the call went straight to voicemail. So here she was all
worried about where I was. When I finally got to a quiet place to speak
to her, I had to lie to her only to protect the secret of the surprise.
The fact was that she still thought I was in Austin still but I was
just 1 building away from where she was at Rebecca's place. (SORRY
HONEY  )
So
the time rolls around and I'm at the beautiful restaurant waiting for
Rebecca to take her there. As soon as she gets there, I come around the
hidden corner of our table and what was her reaction?
"HONEY?!? What are you doing here? Why are you here crashing my friend's party?"
OK OK so she didn't say that but that was her initial reaction. 
Then of course she realized the only reason why I was there, and by
then I was already on one knee. She begins to hyperventilate a "Yes." I
sit her down and we have a private l'il moment with dinner. Her friends
who were of course a part of the party joined us later on at the
restaurant to celebrate.
The following morning, I had already
made preparations with her boss and asked for a day off for her. We
spent a wonderful day together furniture shopping and then going to
this wonderful Garden Cottage Bed & Breakfast that I had booked for
us. Such a wonderful experience.
